DAY 1

Arrival in Cochin by flight or train

  • Your Kerala holiday will begin with your arrival in Cochin, also known as the ‘Gateway to Kerala’
  • From airport/ railway station, you will head towards your hotel and check-in. Later in the evening, if time permits, you may go out to explore the local markets (on your own)
  • Enjoy a tasty dinner and have a pleasant overnight stay at the hotel

DAY 2

Cochin – Munnar by Road (135 km, 4 hours) – Half-day Sightseeing Tour of Cochin

  • Post a sumptuous breakfast, check-out from the hotel
  • Today, you will go out on a Half-day Sightseeing Tour of Cochin. Visit the Fort Kochi, the Dutch Palace, the Jewish Synagogue, the St Francis Church and you will also get to see the Chinese fishing nets (Dutch Palace and Jewish Synagogue will remain close on Friday)
  • In the afternoon, you will head for Munnar, a beautifully landscaped hill station dotted with large tea plantations, scenic hills and stunning waterfalls. On the way, you will stop at a good restaurant and enjoy a scrumptious lunch (on direct payment basis)
  • Upon your arrival in Munnar, check-in to the hotel and spend the rest of the day relaxing. In the evening, you can visit the local market (on your own) and buy aromatic tea from the shops there
  • Enjoy a delicious dinner and have a peaceful overnight stay at the hotel

DAY 3

Local Sightseeing Tour of Munnar

  • After a mouthwatering breakfast at the hotel, get ready for a Local Sightseeing Tour of Munnar. You will visit the Tata Tea Museum, which depicts the evolution of tea plantations in Munnar and Eravikulam National Park, a treat for bird watchers and wildlife zealots (Eravikulam National Park will remain closed from Jan to April due to calving season of Nilgiri Tahr)
  • Guests will be shown tea plantations on Mondays since Tata Tea Museum remains closed
  • The Park will remain closed in February and March due to calving season
  • Indulge in a tasty lunch at a restaurant (on your own). In the afternoon, you will visit the spectacular Mattupetty Lake and Dam and Echo Point which is famous for its ‘echo phenomenon’. Mattupetty is best known for its dairy farm, where more than 100 varieties of high yielding cattle are reared
  • In the evening, you will return to the hotel and your rest of the evening will be free for leisure activities
  • Have a snug overnight stay with dinner at the hotel

DAY 4

Munnar – Thekkady by Road (110 km, 4 hours)

  • After an early breakfast, check-out from the hotel and you will be driven to Thekkady. It is well known for its Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary, which is home to as many as 62 different kinds of mammal and 2,000 species of flowering plants
  • Upon your arrival in Thekkady, you will check-into your hotel and enjoy a yummy lunch (on your own)
  • In the afternoon, you will go out for a boat ride at Periyar Lake in Thekkady
  • In the evening, you will be taken to the theatre (non-air-conditioned) to view the traditional Kalari Show. Kalaripayattu is a an ancient form of martial arts in Kerala, which has been around since 13th century
  • In the evening, you can go out on shopping or you can opt for an Elephant Ride (on direct payment basis)
  • Return to your hotel in the evening and spend rest of the day relaxing
  • Enjoy dinner and a cosy overnight stay at the hotel.

DAY 5

Thekkady – Alleppey by Road (151 km, 5 hours) – Spice Plantation Tour

  • Post an early breakfast, check-out from the hotel in Thekkady and you will head for a Spice Plantation Tour, which will last for an hour. Later, if you wish you can indulge in some spice shopping (on direct payment basis.Out of the numerous spices cultivated here, the most plentifully found spice in Thekkady is cardamom. Once you reach Alleppey, check-in to your hotel.
  • You can go for sunset cruise in the evening (On direct payment basis)
  • Meals: Breakfast

DAY 6

Alleppey – Cochin by Road (86 km, 2.5 hours) – Departure from Cochin

  • This will be the last day of your exotic Kerala holiday. After breakfast, check-out from the Houseboat and you will be driven to Cochin
  • Once you reach Cochin, head towards airport to catch your flight back home
