DAY 1
Arrival at West Bengal (NJP Railway Station / IXB Bagdogra Airport) – Gangtok
- Upon your arrival at New Jalpaiguri Railway Station(NJP)/ Bagdogra Airport (IXB), (413 feet, 126 m) you will be met by our local representative who will assist you to board your vehicle to Gangtok (5,412 feet, 1650 m, 130 km, 4 to 5 hours)
- Have a relaxing overnight stay at your hotel in Gangtok
DAY 2
Gangtok – Excursion to Tshangu Lake and Baba Mandir
- Begin your day with a wholesome breakfast at your hotel. Later, you will head for an Excursion to Tshangu Lake (12,400 feet, 3,780 m, 43 km in 3 hours one way from Gangtok) and Baba Mandir (13,100 feet, 3,994 m, 16 km in 1 hour, one way from Tshangu Lake). The beautiful lake remains frozen during winter months and is home to a number of Brahminy ducks
- Return to Gangtok and have a snug overnight stay at your hotel
(In case of Landslide or due to any other reasons if Tshangu Lake is closed then an alternate sightseeing will be provided)
DAY 3
Gangtok – Pelling
- In the morning, you will go for a half-day (for 4 hours) sightseeing to places like Ban Jhakri Waterfall, Do-drul Chorten (a stupa in Gangtok), Research Institute of Tibetology (closed on Sunday), Directorate of Handicraft & Handloom (closed on Sunday) and Flower Show
- In the afternoon, you will travel to Pelling (5,500 feet, 1,675 m, 116 km, 5 to 6 hours)
- Have a pleasant overnight stay at your hotel
DAY 4
Pelling – Yuksom Excursion
- Post a sumptuous breakfast, you will travel to Yuksom (5,840 feet, 1,780 m, 35 km, 2 hours). Enroute, take delight in the panoramic views of Darap Village, Rimbi Water fall and Hydro Project, Khecheopalri Lake (6,000 feet, 1,829 m). It is one of the sacred Buddhist mountains lake and is believed to a wish fulfilling lake
- A further drive will take you to Yuksom, literally meaning ‘meeting place of the three learned monks’. It was the first capital of Sikkim
- In the evening, you will return to Pelling
- The day will end with an overnight stay at the hotel
DAY 5
Pelling – Darjeeling
- After a delicious breakfast, you will travel to Darjeeling (6,710 feet, 2,046 m, 125 km, 5 to 6 hours)
- Check-in at your hotel and have a comfortable overnight stay at hotel
DAY 6
Darjeeling-Early Morning Tour
- On this day of your North East India holiday, you will head for an Early Morning Tour to Tiger Hills (8,482 feet, 2,586 m) at around 4 AM to view the magnificent sunrise over Kangchenjunga (subject to clear weather). While returning, you will visit Ghum Monastery and Batasia Loop
- After an appetizing breakfast, you will go for a half-day sightseeing of Japanese Temple, Peace Pagoda, Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (closed on Thursday), Darjeeling Ropeway Ride (ticket cost not included and will be approximately INR 180 per person) Tenzing and Gombu Rock, Tibetan Refugee Self-Help Center (closed on Sunday) and will admire the scenic view of Tea Estate
- Have a pleasant overnight stay at the hotel
DAY 7
Darjeeling – Departure from NJP Railway Station/ Bagdogra Airport
- It’s time to go home. Check-out from the hotel in Darjeeling and travel to NJP Railway Station/ (IXB) Bagdogra Airport, (413 feet, 126 m, 100 km, 3 to 4 hours) for way back home
